CoachMe staff and coaches had been manually managing the tracking and sending of daily messages to and from patients, limiting the number of patients they could take on. The goal of this project was to automate the entire process of sending, replying, and recording patient messages through a SMS chatbot. In addition, we built out a frontend dashboard to manage the chatbot, view individual patient records, and export patient messages and recordings for analysis.
CoachMe Health is a Health Tech nonprofit focused on making healthcare accessible to all people. Their focus is helping underserved patients fight chronic diseases such as Diabetes or Hypertension. Using daily SMS check ins and virtual health coaching, CoachMe makes it easy for patients to track and manage their conditions. Coaches meet weekly with patients to discuses their progress, identify trends, and provide encouragement and support.

This project will allow CoachMe to take on more new patients and free up time for coaches. This means that coaches will be spending more time 1 on 1 with patients, instead of manually recording, replying to, and sending daily messages. The individualized patient dashboards also give coaches an overview of measurements, messages, and patient information all in one place.
