Main Features

Impact

This application will benefit low income students who do not have access to quality academic and guidance counseling. The average counselor to student ratio in California is 1061:1. California ranks last in the nation in this area. The students in our district are given 15 minutes of college counseling in the Junior year and 15 minutes in the senior year and this is just not enough. Low income students who cannot afford outside help and do not go to schools who can afford to have updated websites suffer the most. Studies show that if a low income student can gain access to college they can break the cycle of poverty in their families.
